The Prepare For Winter Dinner - THANK YOU!

On Thursday, September 13th, more than 300 guests joined On The Rise for the 21st Annual Prepare for Winter Dinner. We are excited to report that, thanks to you, we raised over $215,000 in critical funds to support our Safe Haven and Keep The Keys programs at 341 Broadway!

We were delighted that so many of you gathered to hear from our Event Chairs, Doug Hanna and Sarah Lawson, and our speaker, Board Chair, Carol Goss (read her speech here!) and Vice Chair, Josh Gerber. During the evening, we were very proud to have Amanda Gorman, first ever Youth Poet Laureate, recite an original poem (read her poem here).

We want to say a special thank you to the two On The Rise women who generously shared their reflections on their unique and special relationships with On The Rise in the evening's video.

Thanks to your generosity, nearly 450 On The Rise women from Greater Boston will find safety, tangible essentials, and the supportive relationships that they need to overcome challenges and move out of homelessness.

We want to express our sincere gratitude to each and every one of you.

Thank you for your commitment to the community,

Your friends at On The Rise

5th Annual Empty Bowls Project - Thank You For Your SOUPport!

On Saturday, March 24, 2017, more than 180 guests attended the 5th Annual Empty Bowls Project at Puritan & Co. in Inman Square.

Each year, the Empty Bowls Project showcases the great energy and good will of our community. We are excited to report that our generous supporters helped us raise more than $8,000 in critical funds to support our Safe Haven and Keep The Keys programs!

A special thank you to Puritan & Co. for donating the space for this event and 1369 Coffeehouse for their leadership and support!  Thank you to the potters at Feet of Clay Pottery in Brookline, the potters at MIT SAA and Indigo Fire Studio in Belmont.  We would also like to thank the 13 restaurants who donated soup, bread and beverages for this event: 1369 Coffeehouse, Puritan & Co., Trina's Starlite Lounge, City Girl Cafe, The Druid, Lord Hobo, Atwood's Tavern, The Automatic, Moona, Sofra, Highland Fried, Loyal Nine, Nashoba Brook Bakery, Classic Graphx and PEAK Event Services.

Thanks to your generosity, all proceeds from this event will support On The Rise's innovative and effective programs for hundreds of homeless and formerly-homeless women.

Thank You Sponsors!
