The 4th Annual Empty Bowls Project- Thank You For Your SOUPport!
On Saturday, March 18, 2017, more than 110 guests attended the 4th Annual Empty Bowls Project at Puritan & Co. in Inman Square.
Each year, the Empty Bowls Project showcases the great energy and good will of our community- this year's event being no different! We are excited to report that our generous supporters helped us raise more than $6,000 in critical funds to support our Safe Haven and Keep The Keys programs!
A special thank you to Puritan & Co. for donating the space for this event and 1369 Coffeehouse for their leadership and support! Thank you to the potters at Feet of Clay Pottery in Brookline and the potters at MIT SAA. We would also like to thank the 10 restaurants who donated soup, bread and beverages for this event: 1369 Coffeehouse, Puritan & Co., The Boston Sail Loft, Trina's Starlite Lounge, City Girl Cafe, The Druid, Lord Hobo, East Coast Grill, Atwoods Tavern and Nashoba Brook Bakery. And thank you to Peterson Party Center for the donation of soup warmers, spoons and ladles for this year's event!
Thanks to your generosity, all proceeds from this event will support On The Rise's innovative and effective programs for hundreds of homeless and formerly-homeless women.

The Prepare For Winter Dinner- THANK YOU!
On Thursday, September 15th, 2016, more than 350 attendees joined On The Rise for the 19th Annual Prepare for Winter Dinner.
We are excited to report that, thanks to our generous supporters and sponsors, we raised more than $247,000 in critical funds to support our Safe Haven and Keep The Keys programs at 341 Broadway!
We were delighted that so many of you gathered to hear from our Event Chairs, Janna Murgia and Jack Hoppin, and our speaker Board Chair, Carol Goss. In addition, Alexandria Long, an On The Rise program participant, was touched by the standing ovation she received after reading her original poem, We're All A Day.
We want to say a special thank you to Alexandria and Board Member, Patricia Maher, for generously sharing their reflections on over a decade of relationship with On The Rise in the evening's video.
Thanks to your generosity, more than 400 On The Rise women from Greater Boston will find safety, tangible essentials, and the supportive relationships that they need to overcome challenges and move out of homelessness. We want to express our sincere gratitude to each and everyone of you.
Thank you for your commitment to the community,
Your friends at On The Rise
