Harvard Book Store Gives Back
This holiday season at Harvard Book Store and harvard.com, shop on any of the four Sundays after Thanksgiving; and a portion of every purchase will go to support On The Rise!
The Gives Back program is a way for Harvard Book Store to contribute to local nonprofits during the holidays. On four consecutive Sundays, a percentage of in-store and online sales will go to On The Rise.
The Prepare For Winter Dinner - THANK YOU!
On Thursday, September 13th, more than 300 guests joined On The Rise for the 21st Annual Prepare for Winter Dinner. We are excited to report that, thanks to you, we raised over $215,000 in critical funds to support our Safe Haven and Keep The Keys programs at 341 Broadway!
We were delighted that so many of you gathered to hear from our Event Chairs, Doug Hanna and Sarah Lawson, and our speaker, Board Chair, Carol Goss (read her speech here!) and Vice Chair, Josh Gerber. During the evening, we were very proud to have Amanda Gorman, first ever Youth Poet Laureate, recite an original poem (read her poem here).
We want to say a special thank you to the two On The Rise women who generously shared their reflections on their unique and special relationships with On The Rise in the evening's video.
Thanks to your generosity, nearly 450 On The Rise women from Greater Boston will find safety, tangible essentials, and the supportive relationships that they need to overcome challenges and move out of homelessness.
We want to express our sincere gratitude to each and every one of you.
Thank you for your commitment to the community,
Your friends at On The Rise

A special thank you to Puritan & Co. for donating the space for this event and 1369 Coffeehouse for their leadership and support! Thank you to the potters at Feet of Clay Pottery in Brookline, the potters at MIT SAA and Indigo Fire Studio in Belmont.
