GIFTS INKIND
n The Rise is grateful
for the tremendous generosity and care that our community
has contributed to women in our program. Each year, inkind
donations keep us stocked with clothing, toiletries and other
essential items that are so important to help women as they
transition from surviving on the streets to living in the
community. Thank you!
Donation Drop-off Times:
- Mondays 3-6pm (not on holidays)
- Thursdays 3-6pm (not on holidays)
- First Saturdays 11am-1pm (Jun 7, Aug 2, Sep 6, Oct 4)
We can only accept donations during these times. If you have any questions, please call Marisa Curran at (617)497-7968 x36.
Most Needed Items:
- Seasonal and casual women's clothing (Sweaters, jeans, sneakers, and coats)
- Unopened bottles of travel-sized toiletries
- Backpacks and bags
- Umbrellas and rain ponchos
- Gift cards of $5-30 value to Target, coffee shops, grocery
stores, hair salons
- Movie, theatre, sports and museum passes
- Phone cards
- Stamps
- Batteries (especially AA size)
We DO NOT Accept:
- Housewares (unless we have a specific need)
- Suits or business clothing
- Children’s clothing and toys
- Men’s clothing
- Large furniture
- Any items that are not in good or clean condition
- Opened or used toiletries and cosmetics
- Used undergarments, swimsuits, socks

Inkind Drop-Off Guidelines:
- Please drop off donations only during our drop-off times, which are Mondays 3-6pm, Thursdays 3-6pm, and first saturdays of each month 11am-1pm (Nov 3, Dec 1, Jan 5, Feb 3)
- We are not able to pick up donations.
- Never leave donations on the front porch or at the back
door.

On The Rise accepts the following items if there is a specific
need for them. Please call Marisa Curran at (617) 497-7968
x36 if you would like to donate:
- Household items (such as sheets, towels, plates, etc.)
- Appliances (such as microwaves, refrigerators, etc.)
- Small furniture
- Office equipment
- Electronic devices (such as computers, TVs, VCRs, etc)
- Any items not listed above
