PARTNERSHIP SPOTLIGHT: CHRIST CHURCH CAMBRIDGE

""

n The Rise is inspired and touched by the incredible and continued support of Christ Church Cambridge. Over the years, Christ Church Cambridge has championed On The Rise in so many ways. Since 1996, members of the Christ Church Congregation have collected and delivered a steady stream of inkind donations of much needed items for women in our program. Members of the congregation have also organized a table for several years at our Prepare for Winter Dinner. Christ Church Cambridge generously supported On The Rise’s capital campaign and has allowed us to use their library for special staff meetings. We’re lucky to have such dedicated and extraordinary ambassadors from Christ Church Cambridge to help spread the word about the important work of On The Rise!

Maintaining Our Home

Thank you to the efforts of the following volunteers who come in each week to ensure that On The Rise’s house and garden continue to be a dignified and beautiful place for women to use: Jutta Hicks, Eileen Taxe-Levine, Nancy Keeler and Sybil Hendrickson.

Luncheon Chefs

Thank you to our talented and generous volunteer chefs who prepare and deliver delicious and wholesome lunches to women at On The Rise: Gretchen Adams and Nancy Adams, Elatia Harris of Lucy’s Mom, Doug and Ginny Holmy-Wilcox, Stephanie Parsons and Teresa Wu, Judy Marshall, Dianne Nealon, Joanna Scott, Kara Stepanian, Victoria & Matt Sutton, and Donna Tillotson.

Special thanks to Community Cooks for their amazing support, generosity and care. Since 1999, volunteers from Community Cooks have prepared and delivered hearty and delicious lunches to women at On The Rise. Community Cooks is a group of Boston area residents joined together by a shared desire to help our less fortunate neighbors, and has provided meals to non-profit agencies in our community for over 17 years. To learn more about Community Cooks or to get involved, please email vickyi05@comcast.net.

Farewell!

We will miss our dedicated volunteer, Janelle Nagy, who is moving to Detroit. Always willing to lend a hand, she has helped us with everything from grocery shopping to cooking lunches.""
